In an interview with Croteam CEO Roman Ribaricby, Seriously, the SeriousZone for all things Serious and Sam, we learned that Serious Sam 4 will be released sometime in Q4, Serious Sam 3: BFE is coming to the PSN soon and both little indie games should be released before SS4 hits. But now it looks like Sam could be making a comeback, in Serious Sam 4, as well as two indie projects: Serious Sam Revolution and Serious Sam Origins. Sure thereвЂ™s been the odd indie effort and there was that humble bundle that hinted at possible future developments, but Croteam has kept its mouth shut for a while. I'll be moving this to Single Player when custom Single Player gamemodes are fixed in the stable release of the game.The last time we saw Sam blowing away headless, bomb wielding psychopaths and giant scorpion centaurs was back in 2012, with Serious Sam 3: BFE, but since then heвЂ™s been relatively quiet. However, this gamemode is intended for only a single player, and as such, is limited to 1 player. By comparison to normal DRM, it has about half to two-thirds less scorpions per level. Temporarily added 'DRM Lite' as a Cooperative gamemode. Respawn Invulnerability is now forced at 1 second

Fixed Scorps on Guardian of Time so that they don't get stuck at a certain point Only for the truly clever and/or masochistic. This is disabled by default, since it makes the game near unplayable. Added a console command to enable/disable the Scorpions in single-player. Saving will take a bit longer with Single-Player Scorpions enabled

CAUTION: If you make any saves in Single-Player with the Scorpions enabled, you will *need* to still have the mod installed in order to load those saves. They weren't able to tell me a lot (since this is the game's DRM we're talking about), but I do appreciate what they were able to tell me Special thanks to Croteam for giving me some amount of information about the things (such as parameters). which is sadly not the case for the majority of user-made maps. As well, the Scorpions function best when the map actually has a Navigation mesh. This mod does support user-made maps, though the automatic Scorpion placement may not work well for some maps. but you can enable it with this console command:ДЄnd when you want to disable it, use this:Д«e sure you disable it once you're done with it, because it will persist between sessions if you don't! For this reason, this is disabled by default. That said, this is only for people with a near-infinite tolerance for pain and/or reloading saves forever. This is essentially the 'pure' DRM Scorpion experience, with only having one life, but being able to save and load. DRM Lite (Based on DRM Fewer Scorpions 1-Player only)ДЄdditionally, I've added the ability to enable these Scorpions in the Single-Player Campaign. DRM (Based on Classic Co-op no 'Respawn in Place')

Beyond that, here are the gamemodes availible:

I'll add Single Player versions later when the current version of the game properly supports them. I also took a few liberties with some Scorpion spawns to enhance their effectiveness.ДЄs for the gamemodes themselves, currently, only multiplayer versions are availible. Scorpion placements and numbers will likely be different from the actual pirated game I kind of had to guess where they were placed. They will shoot the same amount of bullets per volley in all difficulties There are some notable differences from how the original scorpions worked: This mod essentially lets you encounter them without having to pirate the game (and without all the other anti-piracy measures being an issue). They are nigh invulnerable and very fast. For reference, if you pirate the game, these things will hound you throughout the entire game. This mod adds in a set of gamemodes that spawn in the pink scorpions that are used as one of the game's anti-piracy measures.
